Al sondaggio chiuso il 20 Giugno 2009, alla domanda "Quale album tra questi, usciti nel 2009, hai più atteso?", il 67% dei votanti ha preferito Mavado e il suo album "Mr. Brooks... A better tomorrow", contro il restante 33% che invece ha segnato Buju Banton e il suo nuovo album "Rasta got soul".

In ogni caso 2 grandi artisti, 2 grandi album...

TOP 20 DEUTCH CHART GIUGNO 2K9

Ecco la top 20 tedesca: alla vetta, troviamo Elephant Man con "Dance" sul Baddaz riddim, seguito da "Helpless Child" di Bunji Garlin sul Rudie riddim, in terza posizione il tedesco Ziggi con la tune "Ganja Smoke", seguito dal mitico Shabba Ranks con la versions remix di "Give Dem Di Shabba", mentre al 5° posto si piazza General Degree con "I Can't Stop Loving You". Da scoprire Joggo un nuovo artista con "Beware", seguito da una nuova bellissima hit di Shaggy "Can't fight this feeling". Audio World Clash 2009

Il World Clash 2009 va all'AFRICA!!!!!

Una delle più prestigiose competizioni mondiali tenutasi a Londra è stata vinta infatti da un sound del Kenia, "Shashame International Sound", sorto nel 1984 nel ghetto di Nairobi, appunto capitale del Kenia. La scelta di questo particolare nome deriva da un viaggio in Ethiopia e dalla forte devozione alla cultura rastafari.

A contendersi il titolo i sound system più conosciuti provenienti da tutto il mondo: Shashamane dal Kenia, Bass Odissey e Bodyguard dalla Jamaica, Blunt Posse dall'America, Barrier Free dal Giappone, Luv Injection il sound di casa e infine, non per importanza, One Love Hi Powa da Roma, il sound che rappresentava l'Italia. Sono stati proprio Duccio B. e socio ad arrivare in finale e a sfidarsi con il sound africano, pur non avendo la meglio. Un secondo posto, infondo non è niente male! Sebbene si parli di una vittoria discutibile, fatto resta che per Shashamane, promotore di positive vibrations nella sua terra d'origine, i sacrifici sono stati ripagati!

Pre-festival Mercoledì 1 Luglio:SKA-P (La popolarissima punk-ska band spagnola, caratterizzata dalla militanza sociale dal lontano 1995 e dai frenetici e coinvolgenti ritmi dello ska, dopo un periodo di pausa torna alla ribalta con un nuovo cd e un nuovo tour. Questo concerto è ospitato al Parco Del Rivellino, ma non è compreso nell'abbonamento del festival. Il biglietto è di 15 euro, ma chi si presenta alla cassa con il braccialetto del Rototom avrà uno speciale sconto di 3 euro) + Playa Desnuda + Elvis Jackson

Parallelamente alla programmazione musicale, la yard presenterà al suo interno altre iniziative quali conferenze, workshops e la possibilità di visionare alcuni esclusivi documentari e filmati sulla musica dub e roots, e sulla sound system culture.
